Why: Growing up in the late 80’s scrunchies were a thing – and now they’re back with a good amount of innovation. Many standard elastics can cause hair damage and breakage but a well made scrunchie provides an extra layer of protection due to the additional fabric.

There are countless options available, but I found the brand Slip and haven’t looked back. Originally a fan of their Silk pillowcases – they started making scrunchies that also made of silk, are minimalistic, and offer soft color options which I love. While pricier than most, I can attest to having them for over a year now and they’re elasticity is holding up so I’d say it’s been a worthy “investment”. They are also a great gift idea!
